Happy New Year and all that Jazz

So... I have been taking a little break, I know, I know- total slacker! But, I can promise that things will go back to normal next week when I get my butt into gear.

Posts will still happen on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but there will be more generally cool stuff such as interviews, vlogs, recipes, and better photos - courtesy of my new DSLR!

That being said- I'm still going to use my iphone to snap photos when I attend a restaurant to do a review. I want to remain as incognito as possible, and defs don't think pulling out a huge cam helps me remain stealth.

The food blogger directory will be up in the next few weeks, and I have a couple of other exciting projects that are in the beginning stages, you'll hear about those soon, and I'm going to ask some of you to be involved.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Years and can't wait to hear from you in 2011.

On a side note- I am hoping and praying for everyone involved with the floods- there is just so much water, the situation here is pretty hard to believe! Hope your houses, and more importantly, you and your families, are safe and well.

I have added a few snaps below of my holidays....

the Garden was beautiful and green, and a little soggy- but nice to look at!

Happy Birthday Cupcakes I made for my sister's 19th. Not so happy with the edges, but practise makes perfect.

Some of the beautiful decos on the tree

A couple of Vanilla Vodka, gingerbeer and cranberry specials with super cute straws

The ham glazed with dijon mustard and maple syrup

Gorgeous lemon tart (Dad made this one!)

My first ever terrine! Country veal and pork- next time I'll be more inventive.

Love the Christmas spread but definitely not happy about the state of water Queensland is facing. Stay safe and stay well =)
